Thekla Minaidis

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Thekla Minaidis to the role of Chief Creative Officer. Thekla, in her 23 years with the company, has been instrumental in supporting the development of our brand image both digitally and in more traditional formats. She oversees a team working in multiple locations across varied design disciplines and is currently instrumental in the rebranding roll out as well as the development of a new website. In an ever-changing marketing environment Thekla along with her team have adapted to our needs. Well-deserved promotion.

Ellie Brooks

Ellie Brooks has been with the company for over six years and has established herself as one of the key leaders within our global conference business. She currently leads a team of 12 producers across our UK and Mumbai offices, with responsibility for delivering conferences across Europe and North America spanning Business Strategy, Life Sciences, Energy and Financial Services.

Ellie has played a central role in rebuilding a best-in-class production capability in London following the pandemic, while also successfully establishing and scaling our Mumbai production centre. Under her leadership, the business has consistently delivered high-quality agendas, strengthened client outcomes and enhanced the overall standard of our conference portfolio.

Working in close partnership with our Sales, Marketing and Sponsorship teams, Ellie has also been instrumental in developing the conference series model, whereby selected flagship titles now run up to 3-4 times annually. This strategy has enabled us to build stronger market-leading brands, deepen client engagement and significantly increase repeat revenues.

Equally important, Ellie has demonstrated a strong commitment to talent development, creating the next generation of future leaders and topic generators within the content function. This combination of operational excellence, commercial impact and potential leadership depth positions our conference business strongly for sustained growth in the years ahead.

Following the recent consolidation of our European and North American conference content teams under her leadership, I am delighted to announce Ellie’s appointment to the role of Managing Director of Content, Conferences, North America and Europe.

Frankie Campos

I am truly thrilled to announce Frankie’s promotion to Managing Director. Frankie has been a very important part of our operation from the day he joined more than seven years ago. Those that have worked with Frankie all know and understand his value to our summits team.

Frankie is a natural leader and the team respect him and trust his guidance. He leads by example and has been consistently one of our top performers since his first year. He understands where he can help others succeed and is willing to put his time and energy into making that happen.

I have enjoyed working with him closely for a number of years. He is driven to achieve the best outcomes possible for the team and our events. In his new role, he oversees a group of more than 20 DA sales professionals and leaders responsible for almost 30 summits a year.

Frankie, it is a great achievement to reach this level so quickly and you deserve it fully.

Linguarama

English for Leadership in KL

Following the success of our recent programmes in Jakarta, we were delighted to deliver CoreSpeak: English for Leadership 2 in Kuala Lumpur. This advanced two-day workshop builds on the foundations of our Leadership programme, taking communication skills to the next level through more complex scenarios and deeper exploration of leadership language. The course brought together ten senior participants from banking and finance, retail, and pharmaceutical organisations, creating a dynamic and highly interactive learning environment that encouraged both practical application and peer-to-peer exchange. 

Feedback from participants was extremely positive, with many highlighting the relevance, intensity, and immediate applicability of the training. Comments included, “a highly engaging course with practical tools I can use straight away”, “excellent balance of theory and hands-on practice”, and “great opportunity to learn not just from the trainer, but from other professionals in the room”. Once again, our expert trainer Tom Flaherty delivered a standout performance, carefully tailoring the content to meet individual needs and ensuring every participant gained real value from the experience. We’re very encouraged by the continued success of our CoreSpeak programmes across Southeast Asia and look forward to building on this momentum with further courses in the months ahead.

IT systems transition 

At the end of March, Linguarama Düsseldorf hosted a strategic workshop to finalise the handover of our IT systems and business processes. Following Dave Reece’s retirement, responsibility for our IT infrastructure will be with the Marcus Evans Group. 

To ensure a seamless handover, Adam Old (content expert for SMS) and Dave Reece were joined by Stuart Hawes, Head of DevOps & Database Development; Mohammad Khan, responsible for servers and infrastructure; and Adarsh Ramesh Giri, who is leading the ongoing development and migration of our Linguarama systems.

Updates from the North America summits team

It’s all hands on deck for the North American summits team as we head into an action-packed May, with eight events on the horizon—including a major Healthcare Leaders event and a triple-track CPO, Supply Chain, and Tax program. These events will bring together senior leaders from across key industries, further strengthening our presence and reach in the North American market.

This busy period builds on the team’s successful delivery of nine events between February and April, reflecting strong execution and the ability to manage a high-volume schedule without compromising on quality. Year to date, the team has facilitated approximately 2,800 meetings and welcomed around 1,000 attendees across nine industries, spanning five locations across the region.

The delivery of these programs has been made possible through close collaboration across all departments of the Summits Division.

As we move forward, the team continues to build momentum, supported by a strong pipeline of upcoming events and a continued focus on refining formats and content to further enhance attendee experience and engagement.

Updates from the APAC summits team

February and March marked a strong start to the year with our first four flagship events held at the beautiful InterContinental Sydney Double Bay - the Australian CIO Summit, CMO Summit, CFO Summit, and HR Summit.

Each event was a great success, bringing together senior leaders for meaningful discussions, strategic insights, and valuable new connections in an exceptional setting. The grand atmosphere of the venue created the perfect environment for collaboration, while the lively pub evening provided a relaxed and enjoyable opportunity for further networking and entertainment.

Across these four events, our team successfully delivered more than 820 one-to-one meetings, reflecting not only strong execution but also outstanding team spirit, collaboration, and commitment. The energy, dedication, and seamless coordination shown by the team played a key role in creating memorable experiences for our delegates and partners, setting an impressive tone for the year ahead.

Updates from the EMEA summits team

Back on the road and into a busy season of activity, the pace has been full and fast with a strong focus on in-person connection and knowledge sharing. Across recent gatherings, there’s been no shortage of engaging discussions, fresh perspectives, and memorable moments that brought people together in meaningful ways. It has also been a period of change within the team, including the departure of our beloved colleague Avgi Kyriacou, who has moved on to other opportunities. Avgi will be greatly missed, and we thank her for everything she contributed during her time with us.
